Procedure-specific acute pain trajectory after elective total hip arthroplasty: systematic review and data synthesis

چکیده
BackgroundFor most procedures, there is insufficient evidence to guide clinicians in the optimal timing of advanced analgesic methods, which should be based on expected time course acute postoperative pain severity and aimed at points where basic analgesia has proven insufficient.MethodsWe conducted a systematic search literature trials for total hip arthroplasty (THA), extracting pooling scores across studies, weighted study size. Patients were grouped according anaesthetic method used (general, spinal), adjuvant interventions such as nerve blocks, local infiltration analgesia, multimodal analgesia. Special consideration was given high-risk populations chronic or opioid-dependent patients.ResultsWe identified analysed 71 with 5973 patients constructed trajectories from available scores. In undergoing THA under general anaesthesia regimen, recedes mild level (<4/10) by 4 h after surgery. We note substantial variability intensity even subjected similar regimens. Chronic often actively excluded never separately.ConclusionsWe have demonstrated that it feasible construct procedure-specific curves measures. Acute intense resolved 4–6 surgery patients. Acute pain after total hip arthroplasty
Purpose Much remains unknown about the relationship between acute postoperative pain and the development of pathologic chronic postsurgical pain (CPSP). The purpose of this project was to identify the extent to which maximum pain scores on movement over the first two days after total hip arthroplasty predicted the presence of chronic pain 6 months later after controlling for potentially important
متن کاملPatient Satisfaction Reporting After Total Hip Arthroplasty: A Systematic Review.
This review evaluated the quality of patient satisfaction reporting after total hip arthroplasty. The initial search of the MEDLINE database yielded 755 studies. Twenty-four met the inclusion criteria. Most studies provided level III or IV evidence (n=15, 62.5%). The most common method used to assess satisfaction was the 10-point visual analog scale (7 studies, 29.2%), followed by an ordinal sa...
متن کاملA systematic review and meta-analysis of intravenous glucocorticoids for acute pain following total hip arthroplasty
BACKGROUND Glucocorticoids are increasingly used perioperatively, principally to prevent postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV), and acute postoperative pain following total hip arthroplasty (THA). The authors hypothesized that preoperative intravenous glucocorticoids is associated with less pain scores and PONV without increasing the complications after THA. METHODS Four databases (PubMed,...
متن کاملA procedure-specific systematic review and consensus recommendations for analgesia after total hip replacement.
Total hip replacement is a major surgical procedure usually associated with significant pain in the early postoperative period. Several anaesthetic and analgesic techniques are in common clinical use for this procedure but, to date, clinical studies of pain after total hip replacement have not been systematically assessed. Using the Cochrane protocol, we have conducted a systematic review of an...
متن کاملPostoperative pain treatment after total knee arthroplasty: A systematic review
INTRODUCTION The aim of this systematic review was to document efficacy, safety and quality of evidence of analgesic interventions after total knee arthroplasty (TKA). METHODS This PRISMA-compliant and PROSPERO-registered review includes all-language randomized controlled trials of medication-based analgesic interventions after TKA. Bias was evaluated according to Cochrane methodology. Outcom...
